Why Hyaluronic Acid Isn't Enough in Winter

Hyaluronic Acid is one of skincare's most loved ingredients—and for good reason. It attracts and holds water, helping skin look plumper, smoother and more hydrated.

But during winter, Hyaluronic Acid can't do the whole job on its own.

Cold air, wind and indoor heating increase moisture loss, leaving skin feeling dry, tight and uncomfortable. While Hyaluronic Acid helps attract water, your skin also needs ingredients that help retain that moisture and support a healthy skin barrier.

A weakened skin barrier doesn't always look like dry skin. It can show up as persistent tightness, redness, irritated cheeks, increased sensitivity or visible capillaries. Once your skin barrier becomes compromised, it often takes weeks—not just a few days—of consistent care to recover.

That's why I formulated my winter moisturiser with a combination of ingredients that work together:

  • Low Molecular Weight Hyaluronic Acid to boost hydration.
  • 5% Glycerin to attract and retain moisture throughout the day.
  • 5% Olive-Derived Squalane to help reinforce the skin barrier, reduce moisture loss and leave skin feeling soft and comfortable.
  • Panthenol and Allantoin to help soothe and comfort dry, stressed skin.
  • Vitamin A (Retinyl Palmitate) to support smoother, healthier-looking skin over time.

Great skincare isn't about one hero ingredient—it's about a well-balanced formula where every ingredient has a purpose.

This winter, don't just hydrate your skin. Help protect your skin barrier too.
